An Industrial Visit to Patanjali Food & Herbal Park was organized by Vidya School of Business on September 28, 2019.
MBA students along with Faculty Members of VSB namely, Dr. Amit Upadhyay, Mr. Shashank Goel, Mr Prashant Sharma, Ms. Divyaa Rana & Ms. Kalpana Yadav visited ‘Patanjali Food and Herbal Park’. The visit aimed to understand the management practices and technologies used in Food Industry in the manufacturing of Processed Food and other Herbal products.
Mr. K.K Mishra, Head of Public Relation of Food Park conducted a highly informative session for the students. He explained about different food processing practices utilized in the Park and described the varied aspects of ‘Patanjali Food and Herbal Park’ in detail. He informed that ‘Patanjali Food and Herbal Park’ is the biggest Food Park in the world till date and comes under the ‘Mega Food Park Scheme’ of Ministry of Food and Processing Industry, Govt. of India. Mr. Mishra took the students and faculty members on a tour to the various sections of the Food Park. He emphasized on the Zero-waste Methodology adopted and strictly followed by Patanjali and emphasized on the use of organic waste as fertilizer and fodder for cattle.
It was a successful and a highly informative visit.
