Vidya School OF Business have well established entrepreneurship development cell with the objective to enhance and encourage entrepreneurial spirit among young students thereby attempting to create job providers seekers rather than job seekers. The EDC motivates the young students to start up their own enterprise and equip them with the necessary knowledge and skill sets to help them to work as entrepreneurial managers.
VSB has initiated several programs to increase the student’s awareness level for different sectors and ensure a smooth transition from classroom to corporate life as a series of lectures from corporate professionals and academicians.
The cell has been set up with the financial assistance of AICTE New Delhi. The cell aims to strengthen the linkages between industry and research organization, and promote participation of industry personnel in the development of curricula to arrange industrial visits and training for faculty and students.
As an academic institute research lies at the heart of VSB’S endeavours. VSB is a Research Centre of Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow. Comprehensive infrastructure has been created for faculties and students to felicitate research related activities. VSB publishes its Bi- annual peer reviewed VIDYA International Journal of Management Research ( ISSN 2278-2559) that offer insights and perspectives understanding of inter disciplinary research.
The program at VSB aims to provide these basic skills of employability right from their first semester so that students are equipped to understand and handle the complexities of their jobs throughout their career. Employability skills include all elements of domain knowledge, skills and attitude which play an important role not only in placement process but also in sustaining and expanding the career opportunities within the organization.
